Welcome to Claire's web site!
www.claireboley.co.uk

I was taught to knit by my grandmother when I was 6 years old, by the time I was 13 I was hand knitting jumpers using commercial knitting patterns.
I have been hand spinning different fibres for over 20 years, then hand knitting the fibre in to garments that I have designed myself.
I use eco friendly fibres such as wool, silk, alpaca, mohair, soya protein and bamboo.
The natural dyes I use are from plants that I grow in my garden or plants I get from the hedgerow when I am out for a walk.

Publications I have had articles in-
 Country smallholder,
 Smallholder,
 Home Farmer,
Workbox
Sheep,Goats and Alpacas

 I sell my work at
Powdermill Pottery on Dartmoor, and Higher Street Gallery, Dartmouth
, Devon
I have had numerous solo exhibitions of my work across the South West of England including Gallery 1 at the Phoenix Art centre in Exeter Devon

I am the author of 'Hand Spinning and natural dyeing'  this is available in bookshops across the UK and in the USA
